1. Introduction
Revealer.US ("we," "us," "our," or the "Company") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our search service (the "Service").
How the Service works. Revealer.US is a real-time search tool. When you run a search, we query public and third-party sources at that moment and show you what they return. We do not build, own, host, or sell a database of personal information, and we do not store the content of your searches or their results. Revealer.US is not a consumer reporting agency (CRA), and results may not be used for eligibility decisions covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the data practices described, you should not use the Service.
This Privacy Policy applies to all users of our Service, including California residents and residents of other US states with specific privacy regulations.
2. Your Rights and Choices
2.1 All Users Have the Right To:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate personal data
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data (for third-party records shown in search results, see the suppression process in Section 9)
- Export: Request your data in a portable format
- Opt-Out: Unsubscribe from marketing communications
2.2 California Residents (CCPA/CPRA):
- Right to know what personal information is collected
- Right to know whether personal information is sold or disclosed
- Right to opt-out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell)
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days (or as required by applicable law).
3. Information Sharing and Disclosure
We DO NOT sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
We may share information only in the following circumstances:
- Service Providers: With trusted third-party vendors who assist us in operating the Service (hosting, payment processing, analytics), bound by confidentiality agreements
- Legal Requirements: When required by law, subpoena, court order, or government request
- Protection of Rights: To protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property, or that of our users or the public
- Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to affected users
- With Consent: With your explicit consent for any other purpose
4. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information:
- Encryption: TLS 1.3 for data in transit, AES-256 for data at rest
- Access Controls: Role-based access, multi-factor authentication for administrative access
- Infrastructure: Secure cloud infrastructure with regular security audits and penetration testing
- Password Security: Passwords are hashed using bcrypt with appropriate work factors
- Monitoring: Real-time security monitoring and intrusion detection
While we strive to protect your information, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Data Retention
We do not store the content of your searches or their results.
Searches run against third-party and public sources in real time. We keep only a content-free usage record linked to your account — the search category (for example, "username" or "phone"), a timestamp, and for logged-out demo searches an IP address — which we need to enforce plan limits and prevent abuse. It contains neither the query you typed nor any results. Records you explicitly choose to save to your account (Saved Incidents, Profile Builder) are the only exception; they are kept until you delete them.
We retain your information only as long as necessary:
- Account Data: Retained while your account is active. When you delete your account it is immediately deactivated and made inaccessible; personal account data is then deleted or anonymized, except records we must retain for billing, fraud-prevention, or legal compliance
- Search Queries & Results: Not stored automatically. Searches are run in real time and the query content and results are not written to our systems unless you explicitly save a result to your account (Saved Incidents, Profile Builder); saved records are kept until you delete them or your account is deleted
- Usage Records: Per-search counters linked to your account (category + timestamp, plus IP for logged-out demo searches; no query content) are retained up to 90 days for plan limits and abuse prevention, then automatically deleted
- Payment Records: Retained as required by tax and accounting laws (typically 7 years)
- Support Communications: Retained for 2 years or as needed for ongoing issues
- Data-Removal Requests: Unverified requests are automatically deleted after 7 days if the emailed verification link is never confirmed. Verified requests (approved or declined) are kept as a record of the removal decision for as long as the corresponding suppression remains in effect
After the retention period, data is securely deleted or anonymized so it can no longer be associated with you.
6. Law Enforcement Cooperation
6.1 Revealer.US cooperates fully with law enforcement agencies and regulatory authorities worldwide. We will respond to valid legal process including subpoenas, court orders, search warrants, and national security letters in accordance with applicable law.
6.2 We may disclose your information to law enforcement when required by law, or when we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to prevent imminent harm, investigate suspected illegal activity, or protect the rights of Revealer.US, our users, or the public.
6.3 Unless prohibited by law or court order, we will make reasonable efforts to notify affected users of law enforcement requests for their data.
7. Cookies and Tracking
We use the following types of cookies:
- Essential Cookies: Required for authentication and basic functionality (cannot be disabled)

8. International Data Transfers

When we transfer data internationally, we implement appropriate safeguards including:
- Contractual data-protection commitments with our service providers

9. Third-Party Data in Our Service
Important Notice: When you search, our Service retrieves results from third-party and public sources in real time, including breach data that may contain personal information of third parties. We do not compile, own, or host this data; it is returned by the sources at the moment you search and is provided for legitimate security research and fraud prevention.
9.1 We are not the original controller of third-party data displayed in search results, and we do not build, maintain, or sell a database of personal information. Results originate from public sources, data breaches, and other publicly accessible information held by their original sources, and are retrieved on demand rather than stored by us.
9.2 If you believe your personal information appears in Revealer search results and you wish to have it suppressed, submit a request through our opt-out form. Choose the identifier you want suppressed (an email address, username, phone number, name, or address), then confirm the request via the verification email we send. Email addresses are suppressed automatically once you verify ownership, with the change live within 24 hours. Other identifiers are manually reviewed after email verification; review typically completes within 4 weeks, and we email you the decision. Suppression applies to Revealer search results only: we do not host or control the original sources, so we cannot delete the underlying records they hold.
9.3 Users are responsible for using third-party data in compliance with applicable laws and our Terms of Service.
10. Children's Privacy
Our Service is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete such information promptly.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

- Posting the new Privacy Policy on this page
- Updating the "Last updated" date
- Sending an email notification for significant changes
Your continued use of the Service after any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
